THE CHALLENGE
The operator of a tipper truck experienced a reduction in performance while onsite and discovered a hydraulic oil leak from the hydraulic hose to the tipper bin.
UNDERSTANDING THE ISSUE
This situation was urgent and required immediate resolution because it was in the middle of a job. The equipment was not locally sourced and there were no spare parts or dealer support available. The hose was removed onsite and brought to SDRR’s technical team.
SOLUTION & RESULT
At SDRR we service while you wait. On arrival the damage hose assembly was assessed for damage and build specifications by a technician to determine a customised solution for the model of tipper truck. The solution required removing fittings from the tipper’s hose assembly and welding them to our adapters. The original hose was discarded and replaced with our Aeroquip Matchmate hose, and assembled with the modified adaptors. The assessment, fabrication and assembly was completed forty five minutes allowing the operator minimum down time.
